KEYLAS were originally members of a dance music project signed to the Oscar Lindstein Music independent label. During several casting sessions in March 2009, girls who showed exceptional talent, charisma and showmanship were selected to form the group that would eventually be called KEYLAS. The idea was first and foremost to create an entertaining live nightclub act. KEYLAS were to boost the trademarks and entertainment values of late night venues that only had a DJ or less to show for in their marketing. A lot of effort was put into creating and rehearsing stunning dance choreographies and advanced singing features. The music was mainly original, but to some extent borrowed from popular artists. After showcasing a few gigs in Stockholm, Sweden and touring the island of Malta in the summer, the focus during the winter shifted more and more towards recording new original dance music.
